AUGUST 2015:
TURBINES THREAT TO LANDSCAPE
Our precious and much-loved Eston hills landcape is under threat from plans to build 3 wind turbines between Yearby and Flatts Lane. As a conservation group, we are not opposed to turbines and support renewable energy, but we believe the chosen locations are unacceptable. The green thing to do is to recycle brownfield industrial wasteland, that we have in abundance in Teesside, and in doing so conserve our precious green landscape for the benefit of the environment and everyone. WE ALSO FEAR that if these turbines are built, many more could well follow...
